Hugs - Sleepy Bug - The Ladybug Collection - Bumble Buzz collection - with Julia McNeil Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday everyone !  I hope you are enjoying the last few weeks of the Summer - it's a little bit cooler here  today - only 34C (LOL) but the heat still hasn't dropped off completely yet.

Today I have a whimsical floral card made using a combination of digital papers and one of the cute stamp sets.

I love when I can mix and match physical and digital products and they work so well together.

I started off by stamping Sleepy Bug in grey Versafine ink onto a piece of paper from  the Bumble Buzz collection and then layered this onto my card blank on a piece of grey satin card.

Next I chose one of the papers from the Chocolate & Marshmallow paper pad and stamps the flowers onto this with the grey ink.  I then fussy cut out the flowers to add to the bottom of the card using foam tape for dimension.

I used some coloured pencils to colour the flower stem, ladybug and the flower centres adding some subtle shading with darker shades.

I then used 3D glue gel to add the flowers to the card, curling up the edges of the petals for dimension.  

I used a word die to cut out hugs twice, layering these together before adding to my design.

Finishing touches were some pale pink gems.

New Release - Lady Bug Collection - Peek a Bug - with Julia McNeil Designs

Hello everyone Happy Sunday everyone !  

I hope that you managed to watch the launch of the  brand New Release of stamps from JMC Designs on Hobby Maker yesterday and that  you have seen some of the fabulous samples created by the design team.

The collection will be available to buy from today Sunday 30th March on the JMC website   

Here is my next card using stamps from the Peek a bug set which have been stamped and coloured with Promarkers before fussy cutting out.  I created a 6" x 6" 3D scene card.

The piece of card  was 6 1/2" x 6" and then I used a cloud edge die to cut the top of the panel off.  Next I have used distress inks to create clouds and the hills at the bottom before scoring 1" on either side of the panel.  I also cut two 1" x 6 1/2" bridge pieces and adhered them into the card base.

I attached some green die cut grass to the bottom of the panel, a small die cut sunshine and then the coloured mushrooms were then attached to the different layers of the card to create the scene.

Finishing touches were white gelly roll pen highlights and glossy accents to the mushrooms and some gold confetti around the design.

Hello everyone Happy Friday everyone !  Yeah , we're all super excited as it Launch day today for the brand New Release of stamps from JMC Designs.

Finishing touches were white gelly roll pen highlights and glossy accents to the rain drops and some clear iridescent sequins.

New Release - Lady Bug Collection - Love Bug - with Julia McNeil Designs

Today I'm back to share my next card for the brand New Release of stamps from JMC Designs. It's a very cute collection of 4 A6 sets of polymer stamps featuring very sweet little ladybirds.

Here is my next card using stamps from the Love Bug set which have been stamped and coloured with Promarkers before fussy cutting out.

For the background I have masked off the edges of a DL card blank and then used distress inks to create a cloudy background using a fabulous cloudy stencil from JMC designs (sadly no longer available but you could use the Beautiful Skies stencil to create a similar cloudy look.

Finishing touches were white gelly roll pen highlights and glossy accents to the sweet little bugs glasses.

Here is my first card  using stamps from the Sleepy Bug set which have been stamped and coloured with Promarkers before fussy cutting out.

For the background I have masked off the edges of a larger A7 5" x 7" card blank and then used distress oxide inks to create a simple hillside scene using copier paper to create the hill and the sun.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #770 - Add an insect - Sponsored by Clearly Besotted

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope your new year has started well so far and if you are affected by the heavy falls of snow in the UK stay safe and keep warm.

Today as things get back to normal after the Christmas holiday, I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Clearly Besotted and our them this week was chosen for team 2 by the lovely Linda.  I chose to use a gorgeous image by Polkadoodles

I chose to use a really sweet image from the latest Winnie Daisy Fairy collection.  This is image is Bluebell Flower and I have created a DL card for this with a layer of pretty leafy paper from the collection and one of the sentiments.

I resized the image to suit my card blank and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my promarkers and then fussy cutting out.

I chose to die cut a simply scalloped frame from vellum for the panel and then adhered this and the coloured image to the card along with the large printed sentiment.

The finishing touches for my card today were white gel pen highlights a touch of glitter gel to the flower stamens and some coordinating sequins around the design.

Good Things Come in Little Packages - Lily Bug Ladybird with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone - Happy Thursday to you ....I hope you are all doing ok and are enjoying the week.

Today I'm here to share a sweet card made using the recent Lily Bug Ladybird collection.

The collection includes black line art digital stamps, pre-coloured digital stamps, papers, sentiments toppers, embellishments and  so absolutely something for everyone's style of crafting and for loads of different occasions too!

For my card today I decided to make a relatively clean and simple 5" x 7"  card using a couple of the digital ladybirds in the collection combined with a paper and one of the sentiments.

I love that the collection includes extra elements that can be used on their own or with the Lily bug characters.

Just a little layering on red card stock, simple stencilling with distress ink and some card candi to finish off today's simple but I think striking card.

New Release - Having a Break - Lily bug Ladybird with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone - Happy Saturday to you ....I hope you are all doing ok and are enjoying the weekend.

For my card today I've made a 5" x 7" faux stepper from red cardstock and used one of the dotty papers from the collection to decorate the stepper part of the card.

The focal image is a line art digital stamp called Toadstool Lily Ladybug that I've coloured with my Promarkers (see below for the colours used) I love how she is taking a break on her toadstool.

I've created a cloudy sky background for Lily using distress inks and then used the green gingham paper from the collection to add hills to the bottom of the main panel.  Lily has been adhered to this centre panel using low profile foam tape.

I also added a little ink to the hills for a bit of extra definition.

For extra interest I decided to print out various toadstools, in different sizes - these are also included in this fabulous collection, again colouring in and fussy cutting out before adding them to the bottom of my stepper card.  

I've used some Tonic Nuvo Crystal drops to add dimensional spots to my toadstools, I  love being able to have lots of different textures on my more 3D cards.

The sentiment is also from the collection printed onto white card and simply layered onto red cardstock.
